Job Description:
Responsibilities
Performs intermediate skilled technical work providing financial analysis and preparing information that is utilized to market bond financings. The information prepared by the Financial Analyst must be precise and accurate as the issuer is using this documentation to generate interest in its bond sales.
As importantly, the Financial Analyst will prepare ongoing continuing disclosure documentation after bonds are sold and research whether the issuer has remained in compliance with these obligations. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Director as well as other financing team members, with input from the Project Lead Principal overseeing each transaction.
Prepares, analyzes and compiles statistical and financial data for offering documents for offering documents in connection with municipal bond transactions.
Conduct public market research and gather information from client’s internal records, the internet, local businesses and political subdivisions for the following economic, demographic, and financial descriptions, as required for the specific financing (depending on the type of security for the debt).
Review continuing disclosure obligations by bond issue for outstanding debt, determine necessary reporting requirements for the issuer by bond issue and compliance and compile compliance reports.
Prepare annual filings for issuers with continuing disclosure obligations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
One to three years of experience in a financial analyst role dealing with bond transactions, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Series 50 Municipal Advisor Representative Qualification Examination within six months of hire.
Highly developed organizational and communication skills.
Ability to maintain excellent communication and relationship building rapport with team members to support timely and accurate delivery of work for market disclosure.
Experience processing insurance claims, background working in technical processing of data, or preparation of legal documents would be helpful.
