Oliver Wyman has established a strong presence in Greece and Cyprus and our Financial Services practice is growing in the region. Our team is therefore seeking extraordinary individuals with deep expertise to support our continued expansion in this sector. If you have a background in strategy consulting, have worked with Banks/in FS and are looking to change jobs in Athens or relocate to Greece, we are keen on hearing from you!
Our portfolio of clients ranges from top banks in Greece and Cyprus to investors, regulators, and supranational institutions. Widely recognized as influential thought-leaders, we draw on a deep understanding of our clients' businesses and our own in-depth industry knowledge to develop sustainable strategies for the top companies in the region, working closely with senior executives.

ENGAGEMENT MANAGERS are the leaders who oversee our projects. They guide the team through a problem-solving process, ensuring recommendations are correct, practical, and relevant. This role requires strategic thinking and a strong grasp of technical and operational details. Effective communication and relationship-building skills are essential.
Potential projects you could be working on are:
- Creating a comprehensive strategy for a new entrant to the Banking market, and projecting the results of their business model over a number of years to justify the investment
- Proposing acquisition and joint venture targets for a leading player in the local market
- Proposing approaches to increase credit penetration in a specific segment for a leading player in the local market
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Just as every client project is different, so we recognize and value the diversity of backgrounds and skillsets for successful candidates. We are seeking high-caliber individuals who want to join our winning team. Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience, ideally with a top-tier strategy consulting firm (or similar organization)
- In-depth knowledge of the sector, either gained through experience in the industry or in other consultancy houses
- A strong background in strategic problem solving with demonstrable analytical skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both formal and informal settings
- Fluency in English and Greek is required
- An undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program
- Willingness to travel
- Know how to take the initiative, seeking out opportunities to learn new skills and put the ones you’ve already got to good use
- Not just intelligence, but creativity too: you’ll be ready to come up with novel ideas to solve our clients’ biggest problems
- Have an aptitude for analytical work, like sniffing out clues in massive data sets or hunting down the key issues in a hugely complex challenge
- A willingness to work fluidly and respectfully with our incredibly talented team
