Our client, a reputable and growing financial services specialist is seeking an analytical and strategic professional to join their growing strategy function.
This is an exciting opportunity to supporting the growth of the business in the development of clear, executable strategies for our strategic alliance partnerships, while collaborating with key stakeholders on strategic communications and supporting the translation of the strategy into executable plans.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in developing and implementing effective strategies. Additionally, their ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and communicate complex ideas clearly will be essential.
Your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to -
- Support the facilitation and development of the channel strategy and annual business plan in line with Group and Commercial strategies
- Deliver advisory support, research and analysis including market scans, competitor analysis, deep dives, analysis of new opportunities, commercial analysis, etc
- Collaborate with colleagues to translate the strategy into executable plans
- Develop high quality presentations and reports for senior audiences including ELT, Board and external stakeholders such as senior executives at strategic alliance partners and regulators
- Develop strong working relationships across the business and with external stakeholders
Your Knowledge, Skills & Attributes & Qualifications
- Experience in corporate and business unit strategy development gained in a strategy consulting firm and / or mature in-house strategy function
- Well versed in the application of first principles and rigorous hypothesis driven approach including a sound strategy toolkit
- Sound commercial acumen and understanding of financial and non financial performance drivers
- Intermediate storyboarding and PowerPoint deck writing skills
- Intermediate to advanced financial modelling skills and Excel skills
- Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and influence others to collaboratively achieve outcomes
- Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) and able to deal with all levels of management and multiple stakeholders
- Experience and knowledgeable in financial services sector, ideally insurance
