What You Will Do:
In this position, you will help a large federal cybersecurity program mature its operations by providing key metrics and insights regarding the agency’s cybersecurity service offerings. This will include collecting and analyzing large volumes of data from various sources to develop customized reporting based on government requirements, as well leveraging automation tools to clean and validate data to enhance the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of the reporting. In addition, the role requires a strong critical thinker that can identify efficiency gaps, offering AI and automation solutions to improve overall processes, productivity, and reporting.
Duties Include:
Developing and maintaining dashboards and reports to visualize key metrics based on government requirements, utilizing ServiceNow.
Leveraging automation tools and techniques to clean and validate data, rectifying data quality and integrity issues, including inconsistencies, inaccuracies, and missing values across multiple large data sets.
Identifying process gaps, offering AI and automation solutions to improve internal task, and reporting efficiency (e.g., using a scripting language to automate weekly metrics reporting, leveraging tools such as Power Automate to automate an email triage process).
Developing and coding predictive models based on historic data in Python, R, SQL, etc. to forecast future trends.
Meeting weekly with the client(s) to review data efforts and goals, collecting new requirements to enhance existing reporting or develop new lines of reporting.
Responding to ad hoc requests for information, metrics, and reporting, utilizing available data sources.
What You Will Need:
Ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD Public Trust
Bachelor's Degree
TWO (2) or more years of relevant data science, data engineering, or data driven experience
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Professional Certifications related to data science, dashboarding, visualization tools/capabilities, cloud platforms, etc…
Experience supporting Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security (CISA) programs or initiatives.
Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and languages, such as Python, R, SQL, Anaconda, Jupiter Notebook, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Experience working with IT/project management tools, such as ServiceNow and Jira.
Experience implementing AI and automation solutions, leveraging tools such as Power Automate (Microsoft Flow).
Experience with machine learning techniques, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis.
Ability to collect, clean, and analyze large volumes of data from various sources.
Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Power Automate, etc.
