Scope & Overall Purpose Of The Role:
As a Strategy Associate at Team Global Express, you will play a crucial role in designing the strategy that supports our growth and transformation efforts. You will work closely with senior management to gather and analyse data, draw strategic conclusions, develop actionable recommendations and present solutions to the Board of Directors.
You will be a key contributor in helping us protect and enhance our leadership in speed, reach, and scale across B2B and B2C markets. Together, we will build a brand that is known as the strategic logistics partner of choice, committed to delivering excellence and sustainability.
Roles & Responsibilities:
We seek curious problem-solvers who are ready to make an impact. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Gathering, analysing, and drawing strategic and technical conclusions from data.
- Supporting development of actionable recommendations and drafting Executive-level documentation.
- Supporting implementation roadmaps and coordinating execution.
- Consulting with senior management to address business challenges and identify solutions.
- Leading workstreams and delivering projects by defining scope, analysing markets and competitors, assessing internal options (Build, Partner, Buy), and managing business readiness for market activities.
- Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, including customers, suppliers, and data providers, to ensure alignment with Team Global Express's product claims.
- Driving change management and facilitating creative brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas and solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should bring:
- A tertiary qualification in business, commerce, technology, or a similar field.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a consulting firm, investment bank, internal corporate strategy team or professional services firm
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical capabilities, backed by experience in market and competitor research.
- A collaborative and innovative approach to problem-solving, coupled with self-direction and the ability to thrive in ambiguity.
- Proficiency in SQL, PowerBi or any other advanced analytical tools is a plus.
- Experience in the transport and logistics sector is a plus.
